About

Luther Maddy, Ph.D.

Retired college professor and dean, author, computer trainer, and creator of Helping Humans Learn.

Luther and his wife Tracy live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Luther retired from Lewis-Clark State College in 2025, where he served as Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies. He continues to teach courses in statistics and other topics for various colleges. He also dedicates considerable time to creating this learning platform with the goal of Helping Humans Learn.

Luther loves teaching others, and especially enjoys teaching topics in which he has struggled himself, like statistics. His research interests lie in career development and leadership. Luther loves teaching all business topics and flavors his classes with his more than 20 years of experience as a small business owner.

Luther is a follower of Jesus Christ and hopes that makes a difference in everything he does. He and his wife Tracy attend Canyon Ridge Christian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Between them they have 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Luther has a less serious side and that comes out in some of his other humor/travel/motorcycle books that you can find on Amazon.com. Tracy's motorcycle vs. semi accident in 2021 ended her motorcycle riding adventures, but after a nearly four-year hiatus, Luther recently purchased a Harley Road King and is enjoying riding again. Luther and Tracy have many adventures planned, including bicycling and lots of fishing as they transition fully into retirement.
